County Cub Cyclo-cross

On Sunday the 9th October, 17 teams from around the County, descended upon Well End for the Annual County Cub Cyclo-cross event. The weather was not what we had anticipated for this event but everybody made the most of the sunshine and dry conditions. We were pleased to see the Police attending this event and supplying us with the use of their Speed recording equipment and the valuable Bike Identity stamping service. At this point,I would like to thank all those Parents and leaders who attended for being so patient and careful when entering and exiting the site in their vehicles.

The overall winners of the event were Rickmansworth & Chorleywood "B" team, and Elstree "A" as the runners up. The full results of the event are attached for those that want to see the overall positions.

As well as the racing in the woods, we held the Bicycle Agility course which is an event for individuals to demonstrate their riding skills over different obstacles to test their bicycle control. This is a timed event that also accrues penalties for hitting the obstacles or for putting a foot down.

This event was tackled by 54 riders and was won by Brad Nolan of Leverstock Green.

Thanks to all those teams that attended and also to all those that helped with the Marshalling of the course, and especially Elstree District for running the Event
